I've been working at Gabriel Brothers (for those who don't know what that is it's comparable to a TJ Maxx, but better ;) about 20 or so hours a week..just picking up clothes and putting that back. Doesn't require much brain power but at the end of the day my legs are blah.
Besides that I've been doing a lot of reading/research pertaining to an independent study that I will be doing - it'll be two parts, and the first part I'll do in New Zealand. I'm swamped in a billion crazy books and articles which are really interesting...but my brain feels so overloaded. This is the second time I've done this: come up with what I think to be a simple idea/curiosity, but turns out to be really involved and complicated, what I initially envision to be a simple project requiring much more effort and time than I anticipated. At the end I know it will be worth it, but right now I am completely overwhelmed.
I also got this awesome bookcase from IKEA. Check it:
Yay! I've really been needing this. I really like how there's squares instead of just the long rectangle thing. I have lots of categories and therefore need lots of...divider wooden panel things. The top few squares look a little spare but I had taken some things out.
This also came in black but this one one matched my desk better.
Also...today there was a really bad ice storm. I mean, like you see the forecast and are like, ok its gonna be bad, but the roads got really ridiculous. In the morning it was just snow, but then during the evening it was sleet and freezing rain...so much to the point that when my brother picked me up from work he couldn't get up the driveway...then when he backed up to try again, he got stuck, slid a little bit...backed up so he could gain momentum....got stuck...ended up probably 300 feet from our driveway, stuck. Not a very productive process. Eventually he made it to the bottom of the driveway, but even when he parked it and got out we saw the car slide down a few inches. -_-. The funniest part was him opening the window and the ice retaining its shape...Teehehe Maggie and I are gonna play on the ice tomorrow :D should be fun! If only I had ice skates..
